FRIENDS PROJECTS

The Friends work closely with Medina’s City Cemetery Commission to implement the 2018 Spring Grove Master Plan. Significant projects have been accomplished by the Friends with the help of the City of Medina, Letha E. House Foundation, Ed Mears’ Estate and others. 

 

These include:

  • Restoration of the 1884 Spring Grove Chapel

  • Construction of Amos Mears Memorial office complex & parking lots

  • Construction of a hard-edged lake and refurbishment of the old lake

  • Construction of columbarium wall

  • Creation of Pat Mears Memorial Garden

  • Mausoleum stained glass windows restoration

  • Mausoleum bronze doors restoration

  • Mausoleum stone restoration

  • Mausoleum electric service

  • Creation & installation of back-lit stained glass for chapel

  • 199 gravestones restored at Old Town Graveyard

  • Improvements to the Baby Section and Cremains Section

  • Roadway Improvements
